Belize - Exchange Control - Exchange Restrictions

The Belize Minister of the Government is empowered to create “Exchange Control Regulations” imposing duties and restrictions in relation to “gold, currency, payments, securities, debts and the import, export, transfer and settlement of property.”[1] The Minister is similarly empowered to exempt any person or group from these same exchange control regulations.[2]
